EU burn ban: UNITI calls for urgent policy change

The “all-electric strategy” is not really working, the EU ban on combustion engines is slowing things down – what about our mobility for the future?

In order to avoid running almost aimlessly behind the market and people’s needs, as is unfortunately the case with electromobility, the EU should at least get its act together quickly on the subject of renewable fuels before the train for Germany and Europe could have left the station.

Other countries are successfully leading the way and thus preserving climate protection and jobs. However, this would certainly require an urgent political course correction that is in favor of more openness in terms of technology and drive technology. After all, it is not the combustion engine that is a “climate problem”, but the fossil fuels that are still predominantly used – but thanks to eFuels and HVO fuels, these can already be replaced today.
The UNITI also makes it clear once again that “even China, which is often praised as an electric wonderland, is relying on a mix of technologies in the long term”!

The USA did this last week in a radical change of course – but without any CO2 restrictions!
