The European Commission is currently reviewing the rules governing the expansion of charging infrastructure and refueling infrastructure for alternative fuels in Europe.
UNITI naturally supports the goal of an efficient, user-friendly, and Europe-wide compatible infrastructure. At the same time, however, the association is also calling for targeted revisions regarding practicality and fair competition in the area of alternative fuels.
UNITI considers the following points to be particularly important:
1. Expansion targets that align with actual demand as well as grid and land availability
2. Economically and technically feasible targets
3. Reasonable transition periods and technology-neutral solutions

A reliable and competitive regulatory framework would, of course, help facilitate further investment in a variety of energy and mobility solutions. And that’s exactly what everyone wants!
