This data is stored temporarily(30 days) in a so-called log file and then deleted. Longer storage only takes place in individual cases (e.g. in the event of suspected misuse or fraud).

In these cases, the respective log files are stored until the facts of the matter have been clarified and the subsequent and necessary measures have been completed.

Furthermore, we use cookies with which data is stored on your computer during your visit to our website. The data processing that takes place in the context of contacting us can serve different purposes, depending in each case on the content of the inquiry.

As a rule, we further store and process the data provided in order to be able to process your request. In the process, your data will also be stored and processed in a contact management system.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Our legitimate interest is to answer your request in the best possible way. Should the content of your inquiry serve to carry out a contractual relationship existing between us, then the legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR.

2.3 Tracking procedure

The use of tracking tools is based on Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO by your consent, which can be revoked at any time.

Its use enables us to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our website (through statistical evaluations).

Use of Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). However, this means that your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link(http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

You can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the green button “Analytics Settings”. After that, you can choose to allow, disable or one-time allow Google Analytics. If you deactivate Google Analytics there, an opt-out cookie will be set that prevents future collection of your data when visiting this website.

For more information on terms of use and data privacy, please visit www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

2.4 Links to other companies

We use links to other companies on our website.

When you click on them, you leave our website and are then on the website of the respective other company.

The conditions for this can be found in the privacy statements of the clicked companies.

We are not responsible for their contents and their handling of data.

2.5 Use of buttons with links to social networks

On our website, we use buttons with links to our appearances on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Xing and LinkedIn.

These buttons do not transmit any data to the aforementioned social networks.

Only when you click on the buttons will you leave our website and be redirected to our websites in the social networks you have clicked on. You will then no longer be on our website, but on the website of the social network you clicked on.

There, depending on your settings in your browser or in the social network, personal data about you will be collected. The conditions for this can be found in the privacy statements of the clicked, social networks, for which we can not assume any responsibility.

We have refrained from using Facebook “Like” buttons on our websites, as they would already collect data about you if you had not yet clicked on these buttons. If you would like to express your sympathy to us via this technique, we would be happy about it. To do so, simply click on our button with the link to Facebook. You will then find a “Like me” button on our Facebook fan page.

We refrain from integrating social media scripts for data protection reasons, as social services use tracking methods in the background. We are of course happy if you like our posts on our blog and want to share them on social media. For this we have added share buttons for Twitter, Facebook and Google+ after the posts. When you click the buttons, you will receive a notice that the social media are loading analytics scripts in the background to track user behavior.

Only when you agree to this, appropriate scripts will be uploaded and the amount will be shared.

2.6 Sending a newsletter

You can order our newsletters free of charge at any time under the link www.efuels-forum.de or via a special newsletter registration. In the latter case, the data of the corresponding input mask will be transmitted to us.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means that we will only send you e-mail newsletters once you have expressly confirmed to us that you wish to receive them in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO consent to the collection and storage of your data for sending newsletters.

We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm that you wish to receive future newsletters by clicking on an appropriate link. By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent for the use of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The data collected by us when you register for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purpose of addressing you in an advertising manner by way of the newsletter. A transfer to third parties does not take place.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the responsible person named at the beginning. After unsubscribing, the newsletter will be discontinued and your e-mail address and any other data provided in this context will be deleted from our newsletter distribution list immediately, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data for other purposes that are permitted by law and about which we inform you below.

In order to carry out the competition, the profile name and, if available, the first and last name of the respective participant as well as contact data necessary for the execution are collected and stored. Your data will not be passed on to third parties beyond this.

The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (performance of pre-contractual measures and fulfillment of a contract).

If we publish the first name and surname of the winner(s) or announce them externally, for example on our website, this will only be done with the prior, express consent of the winner(s) pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

3) Data sharing

In principle, your data will only be passed on without your express prior consent in the cases listed below:

  • If it is necessary for the clarification of an illegal use of our offers or for legal prosecution, personal data will be forwarded to law enforcement authorities, as well as to injured third parties, if applicable.
However, this is only done if there are concrete indications of unlawful or abusive behavior. Disclosure may also take place if this serves to enforce general terms and conditions or other agreements.

We are also required by law to provide information to certain public authorities upon request. These are law enforcement authorities, authorities that prosecute administrative offenses subject to fines, and the tax authorities.

The disclosure of this data is based on our legitimate interest in combating abuse, prosecuting criminal offences and securing, asserting and enforcing claims and that your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data do not override, Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

  • We rely on contracted third-party companies and external service providers (“Processors”) to provide the Services. In such cases, personal data will be disclosed to these processors to enable them to continue processing. These processors are carefully selected and regularly reviewed by us to ensure that your privacy is protected. The processors may only use the data for the purposes specified by us.

4) Data deletion

We delete or anonymize your data as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which we collected or used it in accordance with the above regulations and no statutory retention periods prevent deletion or the data is longer required for criminal prosecution or to secure, assert or enforce legal claims.
