Just push through eAuto and allelectro strategy and then the traffic turnaround will run?
It doesn’t seem to be quite that simple after all. According to the taz, the number of new e-car registrations in Germany slumped by two-thirds in September compared to the previous month. One reason for this seems to be that since September, only private individuals have been eligible for government subsidies – “the majority of newly registered cars, however, are company cars.”
In the case of private cars, the internal combustion engine is likely to remain the predominant choice. Today, it is already possible to refuel these vehicles with HVO100 in a way that reduces CO2 emissions by up to 90 % – with eFuels (synthetic fuels), completely new possibilities come into play.
The fact that there are currently “far too many charging stations” (taz) obviously does not change this.
