EU decides on quota for sustainable aviation fuels from 2025 onwards

A step in the right direction: in order to make air traffic decisively more “environmentally friendly,” a higher proportion of “fuels made from biowaste, used cooking oil or synthetically produced kerosene is to be refueled in aircraft from 2025 onward. The EU has set a quota for this,” says BR24.
He added: “The share starts at two percent, and by 2050, 70 percent of the fuel provided at EU airports should be environmentally friendly.”

All that remains now is for the EU to act sensibly, with a majority and open to technology, and to recognize eFuels and HVO in internal combustion engines as a genuine alternative to electric drive. In this way, cars, buses, trucks and, for example, construction machinery with combustion engines could quickly and easily make a decisive contribution to the traffic turnaround.
