EU decisions on phasing out internal combustion vehicles not yet final

Anyone who knows a bit about political processes in the EU knows that both the“phasing out of combustion engines from 2035” and the“rejection of eFuels in road traffic” are far from being through.

This is because there is currently still a great deal of political disagreement and rejection at EU and country level with regard to the “decision” of June 8, which may even lead to the complete annulment of the two “decisions” taken in the end.

As we continue to be in favor of equal opportunities and technology openness with regard to all drive types as well as CO2-neutral fuels in the area of transport and mobility, we would naturally support such a development. In our opinion, unrestricted dependence on just one technology (electromobility) is not right. Precisely because this would entail greater dependence on China and we should use every opportunity for immediate CO2 savings.
