Largest single-site solar power plant in the world commissioned

Progress is being made on the subject of eFuels:

Because according to reports from cleanthinking.de the largest single-site solar power plant in the world – the Al Dhafra Solar Power Plant – was recently commissioned in the UAE! This modern 2 GW power plant is located about 35 km from Abu Dhabi and, according to cleanthinking.de, “consists of almost 4 million solar modules covering 21 km² of desert. The modules are bifacial, meaning they capture sunlight on both sides of the module to maximize the amount of electricity generated.” Good to know:
According to cleanthinking.de, Al Dhafra will “reduce the UAE’s CO2 emissions by 2.4 million tons per year, the equivalent of taking almost half a million cars off the road.”

But above all, the project shines by achieving one of the most competitive tariffs for solar energy in the world at just 1.32 US cents/kWh, which is of course also due to its sunny location with largely empty desert areas.

But this is a good example of an ideal location for the highly efficient generation of green electricity. Further processing into eFuels on site would then also result in absolutely competitive costs for operating the current combustion engine fleet in Germany and Europe!

This would therefore certainly be a great opportunity that should be looked at even more intensively than before in political, strategic and therefore also investor terms!
