Can the transport revolution succeed with electromobility alone? The FDP and CDU in Baden-Württemberg (BW) say quite clearly: NO! They are now openly and emphatically calling on the EU and Germany to finally end the “false” ban on combustion engines from 2035 and to use synthetic fuels (eFuels), which can be used to refuel the current fleet of combustion cars – around 48 million in Germany and 1.4 billion worldwide – with a reduction in new CO2 emissions of up to 90%! The Europawahl24 can certainly make a difference here! This is according to an article published by the state parliament:
“The ban on combustion engines pushed through by CDU Commission President von der Leyen must finally be taken off the table,” demanded FDP MP Friedrich Haag, which Thomas Dörflinger, transport policy spokesperson for the CDU, added:
“The EU decisions to phase out combustion engines are wrong. They are damaging many well-paid jobs, they are damaging our prosperity and therefore they are also damaging many people in the country”
