Several hundred scientists had previously written repeatedly to EU parliamentarians to alert them to the alleged “CO2 fraud” being perpetrated by NGOs such as Greenpeace. “But the energy experts and balance sheet experts have pointed out and explained precisely that CO2 savings by means of electromobility cannot be achieved in many European countries. And so the EU strategy at least negligently violates the recommendation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change to conserve humanity’s residual CO2 budget.”
Just a reminder: Every existing car with an internal combustion engine could already be simply “refueled” with synthetic fuels(eFuels) in a CO2-neutral manner. This has also been virtually ignored to date.
