Now is the time to lay the foundations for our mobility of tomorrow! In line with this demand, HIF Global is announcing an e-methanol project in Brazil!
At the end of September, the company signed a land reservation agreement with the Port of Açu, one of Brazil’s most important ports, to build a plant on the site to produce up to 800,000 tons of e-methanol per year. Cesar Norton Sacre, President and CEO of HIF Global, said: “We are operating the world’s first eFuels plant in southern Chile, proving that eFuels are a real and concrete solution in the fight against climate change. The Port of Açu will be a key pillar in building a sustainable future. We look forward to working with HIF Global on this first project in Brazil.
HIF Global is also looking for locations worldwide for the development of eFuels.
Optimal conditions include access to low-cost renewable energy and CO2 sources, a stable legal framework, favorable market conditions and well-developed port facilities.
