EU Commission with new supply chain addendum for eFuels

Actually, it had been agreed that eFuels (synthetic fuels) in combustion cars are the way to avert the general end of combustion cars from 2035.

But according to Focus online, “a draft from the EU Commission recently came to light that has it all: According to it, vehicles fueled with e-fuels may only be registered if CO2 emissions are reduced by 100 percent over the entire e-fuels supply chain compared to fossil fuels.”
Why the EU Commission suddenly puts new parameters on the table and thus torpedoes the agreements made is very surprising. After all, the topic of internal combustion engines is also about general values such as openness to technology, equality of opportunity, freedom of development and planning security in the area of drive technology of the future.
And what about the supply chains for e-cars?
