Do not change the drive type, but the fuel

The discussion about the energy transition and CO2 neutrality is often still misguided with regard to existing drive types. Today’s internal combustion engines, for example, usually stand for “old”, “fossil” and thus “environmentally harmful”. But this is not right! This is because it is not the current diesel and gasoline engines, as well as marine engines and aircraft propulsion systems, that are “polluting,” but only the fuel that is currently still in use. And this is precisely what could be changed quickly and easily thanks to CO2-neutral fuels such as eFuels.

In an article in the Handelsblatt on synthetic kerosene as a beacon of hope for air travel, Tim Böltken, co-founder and CEO of Ineratec, sums up this fact and receives support from Lufthansa CEO Spohr.
