Is switching to electromobility really the only way to significantly reduce your carbon footprint?
Of course: NO!
The aim is to “significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of the company fleet.”
It goes on to say:
“Mammoet has set itself the goal of using HVO100 as much as possible, which is made from 100% renewable raw materials. This alternative fuel is miscible with existing fuel supplies, compatible with most diesel engines and can therefore be used immediately.
The introduction of HVO goes hand in hand with Mammoet’s own filling station network, which supplies the truck, mobile crane and SPMT fleets. HVO will be supplied to Mammoet service stations in the Netherlands, the UK branches in Hixon and Teesside and branches in Canada.”
So why only electric? Many companies are apparently already further ahead than politicians in making sensible use of all of today’s possibilities!
