CAPHENIA launches final construction phase of its pilot plant “GERMANY I”

Progress is being made on the subject of renewable fuels:
On Friday, the Bavarian clean-tech company CAPHENIA announced that it had integrated a “reactor” with unique plasma boudouard technology (PBR) specially manufactured by MAN Energy Solutions for the pilot plant in the Frankfurt-Höchst industrial park into the existing plant there!
This means that all components are now on site.
Caphenia plans to start producing renewable synthetic fuels as early as next year.
The completion of Caphenia’s production plant is a key milestone that was preceded by around 15 years of planning and research: founded in 2012 under the name CCP Technology, the company has developed its own processes for converting electricity, biomethane and CO₂ into renewable synthetic fuels and holds global patents for this so-called power-and-biogas-to-liquid (PBtL) process. Good to know: Some partners from the eFuels Forum are involved in Caphenia through the company eFuel GmbH.
Dr. Mark Misselhorn, CEO and founder of Caphenia, comments on the success: “The GERMANY I pilot plant will provide us with the necessary foundations and knowledge to ramp up the production of renewable fuels. Our aim is to scale up this business area quickly and to open up this immense and socially relevant market worldwide with further production plants.
