How important are the new, modern “climate” fuels such as
HVO100
and eFuels(synthetic fuels) for the transport transition?
Very much! Because they can be used in all existing #combustion engines in cars, trucks, airplanes or even in shipping!!!
Companies such as HGK Shipping therefore “welcome the German government’s decision to approve the more climate-friendly (…) alternative fuel HVO100. At the same time, Europe’s largest inland shipping company sees this as an opportunity to drive forward the decarbonization of the mode of transport in the medium term.”

Good to know:
1.HVO100 is actually NOT a conventional“#Biodiesel/ #FAME” – this designation and “eco-diesel” is therefore rather misleading.
2. HVO100 has just been exempted from the CO2 price, so that the price/liter is very close to the previous diesel price.
