Repair costs for electric cars far too high?
FOCUS even speaks of a “cost time bomb” in terms of repair and follow-up costs.
And yet the e-car actually promised a “maintenance paradise” – without oil changes or “worn-out clutches”. Everything wrong?
According to FOCUS, “battery risks quickly turn accidents into total write-offs and repairs are really expensive”.
This is precisely why “SIXT is banning all Teslas from its subscription and rental fleet*. And “rental giant Hertz is also following suit” and is getting rid of 20,000 electric cars this year.
It’s good that there are already alternatives in the mobility sector!
Climate-friendly eFuels (synthetic fuels) and HVO (available at German filling stations from mid-April) can already be used in tried-and-tested combustion engines.
The imminent end of the ban on combustion engines is a good sign!
Now all that remains is for a German majority in the European elections24 on June 9 to provide clarity at EU level!!!
