“Bang for the buck for e-cars”!
It has been clear since Monday evening: the ban on combustion engines from 2035, which was previously demanded almost fanatically by many e-car and allelectric fans and was now to be enforced, was overturned in a vote in Brussels on Monday evening, according to krone.de.

Austria and Germany opposed the ban on combustion engines. And according to the Krone newspaper, the reason for this change of direction is the e-cars themselves.
According to Krone, the explosively poor reference values of e-cars had prompted everything. As early as 2026, the Commission should now thoroughly review the plan to phase out combustion engines by 2035 and clear the way for technological openness and more choice for consumers!
The promotion of synthetic fuels (eFuels) will therefore certainly play a completely new role in the EU’s future planning for drive technology, mobility and transport – especially when it comes to cars!
