Cooperation agreement between Germany and South Africa

Next important step for the industrial ramp-up of synthetic fuels (eFuels):

In order to make the production of “green” Power-To-X products such as eFuels maximum economic efficiency, it is important to move the production of these products to wind- and sun-rich regions of the world, to process them there with unlimited and therefore much cheaper green electricity than in Germany, and then to deliver them to the markets – affordable for all – via the infrastructure that already exists worldwide!

This is exactly why we are very pleased that politics is now finally getting more involved!

This was recently announced on the website of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK):
“Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck and Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of Electricity at the Presidential Office of South Africa, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the sidelines of the Binational Commission between Germany and South Africa on June 27 to further expand cooperation on green hydrogen and power-to-X products.”
