Pilot project in Saxony delivers first “green fuel” in Germany

Important next step:

For the purpose of blending, industrial process optimization, fuel testing, and extensive automotive testing, the first 380,000 liters of eFuels of the DeCarTrans project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport were produced at the pilot plant in Freiberg (Saxony) between Easter and Ascension Day. Also involved in the project: our eFuels Forum friends from Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz GmbH.

The seriousness and importance of this milestone for the transport turnaround in Germany was also demonstrated by the presence of Federal Transport Minister Volker Wissing (FDP) and Saxony’s Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU) at the project’s“First Fuel Event“. Wonderful thing!

Of course, a car was also immediately refueled with eFuels!
