Since eMobility is obviously not a foregone conclusion, it is important to keep the way open for alternative, climate-friendly drive options in transport in the future.
Many citizens, companies, initiatives and associations, such as the Zentralverband Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (ZDK) in Germany, therefore welcome the EU solution pro synthetic fuels (eFuels) for combustion engines.
ZDK managing director Dr. Kurt-Christian Scheel on the ZDK web page further in addition:
“The solution found opens the way to get the industrial production of large quantities of this synthetic fuel going. (…) Now all the necessary conditions must be created for the industry to invest in the construction of large-scale plants for e-fuels. As a side effect, the economic power in countries outside Europe, which have renewable energies in abundance, could be strengthened. After all, e-fuels are liquefied green power that can be transported and stored.”
