Poor values: consumers are not convinced by the e-car

It’s a consumer survey by consultancy Deloitte that once again reveals the difficulties surrounding the switch to eCars: rising costs, lack of infrastructure – even “despite a growing choice of models, only 16% of respondents would choose a pure electric car when buying their next car,” according to Deloitte experts.

Very interesting:

“For many consumers, eFuels (carbon-neutral, synthetic fuels) would also be an option. Thus, 49% of those interested in purchasing an electrified car would reconsider their decision to purchase such a vehicle (e-car) and opt for an internal combustion vehicle powered by environmentally friendly e-fuel, … .”

Good to know:
In order to establish eFuels properly in Germany and the EU as quickly as possible, the current policy should not be based on constant measures that put the brakes on, such as the ban on internal combustion engines. Technology openness is the magic word – flanked by a sensible support program for the increased ramp-up of eFuels production.
