Strong forces gather against focusing solely on e-drive

On Tuesday, the EU threatens to phase out gasoline and diesel from 2035 at the latest. We think that this step is not right.
The reason for this is the ever more advanced development in the field of modern fuels, with which new as well as existing combustion engines could continue to be used in a completely CO2-neutral manner. And that’s what the energy transition is all about in terms of transport and mobility, isn’t it?

Instead, the focus would then be all on electromobility and, in the future, freely chosen, among other things, would be placed in a further, large dependence on China. Completely unnecessary!

This is also the view of many medium-sized energy companies in Germany. Some have therefore now taken the initiative and joined forces to form eFuel GmbH (https://www.efuel-gmbh.de/). They plead for technology openness and equal opportunities when it comes to energy and, in an article on auto-medienportal.de, provide a good overview of the status quo with regard to modern fuels as well as the risks of an imminent “electric-only strategy”.
