After BMW, the logistics company Maersk has also recognized the need to focus on the production of CO2-neutral, synthetic fuels in order to be able to offer sensible solutions in addition to “purely electric” in the process of the energy transition.
Both companies took a stake in Prometheus Fuels – an eFuels start-up in Silicon Valley. The premise here is to supplement and relieve the very scarce renewable electricity available in Germany with an energy supply from sun- and wind-rich parts of the world.
