Mercedes-Benz VAN.CA: Combustion engine continues to run

Is “battery drive” really the only path currently being pursued by car manufacturers, as many media and combustion engine critics keep claiming?

Of course not. After many car manufacturers have gradually corrected their unrealistic “all-electric” strategy of recent years in favor of the combustion engine, “pioneer” Mercedes Benz is now also rowing according to vision-mobility.de in the area of vans!!!

According to vision-mobility.de:

A thin press release also hints at the strategy correction for vans with the three-pointed star after passenger cars: In addition to the purely electric VAN.EA, there will also be a VAN.CA with combustion engines in the future. Because customers are not going electric .

The press release continues: “In order to flexibly meet customer requirements, Mercedes-Benz Vans will in future offer vans with state-of-the-art combustion engines alongside electric vehicles on a single architecture”.

In plain language: no combustion engines, no sales.
It’s a good thing that these vehicles can then be operated in a significantly more climate-friendly way with HVO or eFuels, without completely bypassing the customer ideologically and ruining our car industry, including all jobs.

Now all that remains is to overturn the EU combustion ban, as Friedrich Merz had already called for in the 2024 European election campaign!

We are keeping our fingers crossed!
