Motorsport: ADAC Weser-Ems continues to rely on eFuels

Bremen, Hoya, May 19, 2025 – ADAC Weser-Ems is continuing to drive forward sustainable development in motorsport: last season, the regional club in north-west Germany regional club in the northwest of Germany synthetic fuels are used. The eFuels Forum is once again a partner, providing the eFuel Racing 98 fuel specially developed for racing by CAC Engineering. The fuel is used in the junior series ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup, ADAC Clubsport Rallye Sprint Cup Nord and the Junior Buggy Cup.

“Our aim is to promote motorsport talent – and at the same time raise awareness of sustainable technologies,” explains JĂĽrgen Riedemann, Head of Sport at ADAC Weser-Ems. “We are convinced that promoting young talent and sustainability are not mutually exclusive – on the contrary: they complement each other perfectly.”

ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup showcase project

The ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup will remain a highlight in 2025: the series is the first and only one in Germany in which all racing cars are fueled with eFuel Racing 98. The VW up! GTIs used will impress with their efficiency and lower fuel consumption compared to other racing cars. “The young drivers learn here under real conditions how sustainability and motorsport can be combined. We are thus creating a practical learning environment for the mobility of tomorrow,” says a delighted Riedemann. “In motorsport in particular, eFuel Racing 98 allows us to show that sustainable driving fun is possible – without sacrificing powerful combustion engines,” adds Lorenz Kiene from the eFuels Forum.

The season opener of the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup took place from April 25 to 27, 2025. 47,000 spectators watched the exciting races in the Motorsportarena Oschersleben.
