New study: eFuels could replace fossil fuels affordably

Could eFuels really replace fossil fuels affordably?

A recently published study by the consultancy Frontier Economics clearly says: YES. On behalf of UNITI, experts examined “Scenarios for the market ramp-up of eFuels in road transport” and also investigated the key question of whether synthetic fuels could represent an affordable alternative to fossil fuels in the long term.

Factors that would naturally have a serious impact on the price per liter are, for example, the right selection and equipment of the production sites or the effect of technological developments and improvements. The eDiesel price per liter could fall to as low as €1.22.

In summary, the study shows that eFuels can be an economically viable alternative for sustainable mobility. Technological advances, production scaling and targeted tax relief can then keep prices stable and competitive in the long term.
