The unrestricted sale of HVO100“climate diesel” at public filling stations will start in mid-April. This is an important step towards the future with fuels (with a reduction in new CO2 emissions of up to 90 %) as well as eFuels (synthetic fuels) to replace fossil fuels.
WirtschaftsWoche recently published a very informative article for interested motorists with answers to questions such as “What is HVO100 and is it permitted in Germany?”, “What does HVO100 cost?” or “Which vehicles can fill up with HVO?”.
Important: HVO100 is actually NOT a conventional “biodiesel/FAME” – this designation and “eco-diesel” are therefore rather misleading. Read more: https://www.neste.de/neste-my-renewable-diesel/produktinformationen/erneuerbarer-diesel-vs-biodiesel
