How can we actually make our shipping sustainable?
It was precisely this question that was discussed by a panel of experts last weekend as part of the “Blue Innovation Dock” on sustainable, liquid fuels at the
boot Düsseldorf
– Europe’s largest boat and water sports trade fair.
Dirk Wullenweber, Director Commercial Fuels & Marketing from our eFuels Forum friends at Lother GmbH as well as Karl-Oskar Tjernström (Co-founder at Fossil Free Marine), Phil Horton (Environmental Officer at the European Boating Association), Patrick Hemp (Technical Consultant at ICOMIA) and Jeff Wasil (Senior Director at the National Marine Manufacturers Association – NMMA).
Once again, the topic of eFuels (synthetic fuels) and HVO fuels – also with regard to their possible use in all existing diesel ship engines from yachts and pleasure craft to ferries and transport ships – was brought to the attention of a wider public.
