Hardly any sun, little wind: E-cars now dirtier than combustion engines

Particularly in view of the climate targets that have been set, it is now important to focus in the future on technologies that also function in a CO2-friendly manner in unfavorable weather conditions. Of course, the generation of the required energy also plays a decisive role in how clean a technology is.

Against this backdrop, various reports are currently raising questions about which experts are certain based on the current weather: “Electric cars can at times be more harmful to the climate than vehicles with internal combustion engines“. This means that e-cars emit more climate-damaging CO2 than diesel cars, for example.

Don’t Germany and Europe currently rely solely on the e-car for individual transport and want to ban the combustion engine?

In addition, it is already technically possible today to refuel any diesel car with synthetic fuels(eFuels) in a completely reliable CO2-neutral manner. And since the production of the fuels only takes place in the sun- and wind-rich regions of the world and they can be imported via tanks, neither the domestic green electricity resources would be burdened in the process, nor would “dirty emergency electricity” be used.
You would only have to want it politically and promote it!
