In order to push the production of so-called eFuels, i.e. CO2-neutral synthetic fuels, further and further on an industrial scale, it is absolutely necessary to have reliable minimum quotas in all areas of transport for investors and H2 producers. No matter whether in shipping, passenger cars or air traffic.
Back in September, the EU Parliament approved a minimum quota for hydrogen and synthetic fuels in road transport of 5.7% by 2030, and currently a minimum quota for ships is on the table for a vote. We keep our fingers crossed!
