DACMA GmbH Sets the Course for Its Next Phase of Growth

“Capturing” CO2 from the air and then using it to produce synthetic fuels—is that really possible?

Of course: YES—with Direct Air Capture (DAC)!

And that is precisely why, for example, DACMA GmbH is now setting the course for its next phase of growth in order to further advance the decarbonization of industrial processes. Building on the research and development progress made in recent years, the company plans to take the next step: from technology development to large-scale implementation.

Key Developments:
1/ With the eFUEL GROUP, DACMA has gained a strategic majority shareholder that shares the company’s long-term vision and actively supports its development. The new shareholder structure strengthens DACMA’s financial and strategic foundation—and thus also its ability to implement international projects more quickly and meet the growing demands of a dynamic carbon management market.

2/ At the same time, DACMA is undergoing a generational transition in its leadership: After many years, founder and former CEO Jörg Spitzner is retiring. Alexander Backs and Benjamin Scharrer, who have been with DACMA since its inception, are taking over as the new co-CEOs and will lead the company into this next chapter.

For DACMA, this step represents more than just a change in ownership or management structure. It reflects the company’s ambition to establish itself in the long term as a leading international technology partner in the field of direct air capture—together with employees, customers, and partners who are actively shaping the transition to a decarbonized economy.
