Are all EU politicians really in favor of phasing out combustion engines from 2035?
Of course: NO!
The trend is going in exactly the opposite direction.
And: The conservative-liberal wing in the EU Parliament has been questioning the ban on combustion engines from 2035 for some time and has been calling for an objective review of the existing, strange exhaust gas rules and the entire measurement methodology with regard to the CO2 fleet limits for years. 👍
The criticism is getting louder and louder: the leader of the Conservatives in the EU Parliament, Manfred Weber, is even now promising “the Europeans” “the end of the combustion engine ban”, according to Der Spiegel!
Now that the USA has already abolished its emissions regulations in the blink of an eye and the first politicians from the center-left camp, such as Minister President Lies (SPD) from Lower Saxony, also consider the “all-electric” project to be “unfortunately unrealistic”, the EU should finally act in the interests of the majority.
Good to know:
Thanks to modern, synthetic fuels such as eFuels and HVO, existing and future combustion engines can already be operated with significantly lower CO2 emissions – there is no need for a ban to benefit electric cars.
Technology openness is the magic word!
We are keeping our fingers crossed for the current trend!
