Is the withdrawal of the EU ban on combustion from 2035 really just a conservative-liberal fantasy from yesterday?
Of course: NO!
The politically conservative and liberal camps simply looked at the entire transformation process as a whole at an early stage, without ideological, one-sided glossing over, and recognized that enforcing this ban would have major economic and thus social consequences and risks in Germany and Europe.
Unfortunately, we are already seeing evidence of this in many sectors of the economy.
It says:
“Lower Saxony’s Minister President Olaf Lies (SPD) is calling for an end to the planned ban on combustion engines from 2035. The goal of only allowing purely electric cars from this date is “unfortunately unrealistic”, according to a paper by the head of government, which was first reported by the magazine “Politico”. Internal combustion vehicles – especially plug-in hybrids and vehicles with so-called range extenders – should also be able to be registered after 2035.”
Good to know:
“The document entitled “Zukunftspakt Mobilität 2035 – mit neuem Realitätssinn zur klimaneutralen Mobilität” was drawn up in consultation with the Saarland head of government Anke Rehlinger (SPD), according to “Politico”.
It stipulates that cars with synthetic and biogenic fuels may also be newly registered beyond 2035. These fuels should increasingly be blended with conventional fuels.” (stern.de)
It can be done! In any case, we are keeping our fingers crossed for all Real politicians in overturning the ban on combustion engines!
