Improved EU framework conditions for supporting eFuels

Will the topic of “renewable fuels” finally be treated in the same way as electromobility at EU level?

Unfortunately not yet: BUT that can change!

For example, on June 25, the EU Commission relaxed the state aid rules until 2030 in order to promote investments in renewable energies and synthetic fuels.

As a result, these framework conditions now make it possible to provide state aid support in the form of tax incentives, grants, low-interest loans or guarantees – especially when it comes to projects involving HVO, eFuels, SAF, green hydrogen and other renewable technologies.

This will certainly make many things easier and more attractive for investors in Europe and further promote the expansion of production facilities and infrastructure for synthetic fuels!
