Manthey Team eFuel Griesemann takes second place in the AT2 class with synthetic fuel

Hoya, Nürburgring June 26, 2025 – The Griesemann Group team, sponsored by eFuels Forum among others, put in an impressive performance at the ADAC Ravenol 24h race at the Nürburgring. The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport M, powered by the synthetic Racing eFuel 98, secured second place in the AT2 class and finished in an excellent 20th place overall.

Strong performance by the Griesemann Group team at this year’s ADAC Ravenol 24h race at the Nürburgring: The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport M with starting number 718, powered by the synthetic fuel Racing eFuel 98, achieved a very good 2nd place in the AT2 class. In the overall classification, this meant 20th place – a remarkable result in view of the high-caliber starting field. The vehicle was driven by Georg Griesemann, Björn Griesemann, Dirk Adorf and Yves Volte.

The eFuel Team Griesemann once again relied on the innovative Racing eFuel 98 fuel from NORDOEL. The fuel comes from the DeCaTrans project using CAC METHAFUEL technology, which was developed by CAC Engineering in cooperation with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. This is an optimized synthetic mixture of green hydrogen and carbon dioxide, which ensures up to 90 percent less new CO2 emissions than fossil gasoline. Racing eFuel 98 has already proven in numerous engine and practical tests over the past few years that both the synthetic fuel is of high quality and the process is ready for the market and can be scaled up to industrial standards at any time.

“Our involvement in the 24-hour race is a strong signal: more climate-friendly mobility is feasible – even in demanding motorsport. We want to show that driving pleasure, performance and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive,” said Lorenz Kiene, Managing Director of the eFuels Forum.
