FÖS paper fails technical analysis

Are eFuels really not an alternative for the future, as the latest meta-study by the Forum Ökologisch-Soziale Marktwirtschaft(FÖS) on behalf of the Climate Alliance Germany claims?

The Bundesverband Freier Tankstellen (bft) and the UNITI Bundesverband EnergieMittelstand e.V. (Federal Association of Independent Petrol Stations ) say quite clearly: Of course, eFuels are a legitimate and viable alternative – also for car traffic!

The bft website summarizes the study as follows: “Technology openness looks different.”

bft Managing Director Daniel Kaddik criticizes: “A meta-study evaluates other studies and is not based on our own research. And this is precisely where the problem lies in this case: the results of the study are cherry-picking: study results and facts that speak in favor of eFuels have not been sufficiently taken into account.”

Apparently, the study’s assessment of eFuels is more ideological in nature.
And this despite the major positive impact of synthetic fuels on climate protection.

Fortunately, this ideological view of things can be voted out on February 23. Every vote counts. We keep our fingers crossed!
