On June 7, the EU could decide to phase out gasoline and diesel from 2035 at the latest. And that, according to focus, despite “mega risks” such as a strong dependence on raw materials from China in electromobility.<\/div>\n

We hope that politicians will take another close look at these risks for themselves and, with their decision on Tuesday, avert lasting economic and social damage to Germany and Europe as a result of an electric-only strategy that is still very much in question. What we need is a policy of genuine technological openness and equal opportunities for drives. After all, there are already many ways to “refuel” internal combustion engines – existing or new – with eFuels, CO2-neutral fuels from green electricity, or the latest generation of advanced biofuels already on the market.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We keep our fingers crossed that common sense will prevail in the end and that many people will continue to join our cause.<\/p>\n
