This creates a classic chicken-and-egg problem: without demand, there is no scaling; without scaling, there are no competitive prices.\u201d<br \/>\nComment: Unfortunately, due to a lack of political will, this situation has not yet been decisively resolved.<\/p>\n<p>However, use in a military context could change that, because in this context, energy is less \u201ca question of price than of strategy.\u201d Furthermore, according to Jansen: \u201cFor key military platforms, there are no realistic alternatives to liquid fuels for the foreseeable future.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The armed forces have long-term planning horizons and can therefore make reliable purchase commitments. This demand can ensure the economic viability of PtX plants, enable economies of scale, and reduce costs.
