Do our national governments really still support the current EU ban on combustion engines from 2035?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since last Friday, the answer has been quite clear: NO!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Because according to <\/span>tagesschau.de<\/a><\/span> the Minister Presidents of our federal states decided at the Minister Presidents’ Conference last Friday in Mainz to significantly soften the ban on new combustion engines planned at EU level after 2035.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

tagesschau.de: <\/span>A resolution passed by the Conference of Minister Presidents states: “A rigid ban on combustion technology from 2035 onwards, regardless of its actual feasibility, would not only jeopardize core industrial competencies and the competitiveness of Germany as an automotive location, but also the social acceptance of electromobility as a whole.”<\/p>\n

<\/span>It’s just as well that combustion cars can already be operated with significantly reduced CO2 emissions using modern, synthetic fuels such as eFuels or other climate fuels.<\/p>\n

<\/span>And by the way: the topic of synthetic fuels will probably also play a more decisive role in the “newly adopted” future scenario for transportation than before.<\/p>\n
