Is the current EU policy or the European regulatory framework for refuels\/eFuels currently more conducive or inhibiting?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unfortunately rather inhibiting!<\/p>\n

This is precisely why, according to verkehrsrundschau.de, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg is now rightly launching an action plan for electricity-based fuels!<\/a><\/p>\n

This plan was published by Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg and a broad alliance of industry, research and associations to promote electricity-based fuels – so-called refuels.<\/p>\n

The aim is to kick-start the industrial production of eFuels – especially for applications in aviation and shipping – which has stagnated to date. To this end, the alliance is calling for specific adjustments to European regulation:
\n“Our aim was to develop a viable, broadly supported proposal for the necessary further development of the European regulatory framework for refuels,” explains Winfried Hermann, Transport Minister of the federal state. <\/p>\n

Here are eight fields of action for refuels production from the action plan:<\/strong>
\n1. Practical transitional rules for green electricity criteria
\n2. Use of unavoidable industrial CO\u2082 emissions beyond 2040
\n3. Simplified regulation of the joint processing of electricity-based, biogenic and fossil raw materials
\n4. Realistic import rules for PtL fuels from third countries
\n5. Roadmap to climate neutrality 2050 for planning security for investors
\n6. Regulatory grandfathering for first PtL plants
\n7. Risk minimization through purchase agreements and promotion
\n8. Standardized European book & claim system for SAF including a functioning chain of custody<\/p>\n
