{"id":15684,"date":"2025-03-20T10:49:13","date_gmt":"2025-03-20T10:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.efuels-forum.de\/2025\/03\/20\/dacma-hands-over-dac-system-to-kit\/"},"modified":"2025-03-20T10:53:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T10:53:45","slug":"dacma-hands-over-dac-system-to-kit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.efuels-forum.de\/en\/2025\/03\/20\/dacma-hands-over-dac-system-to-kit\/","title":{"rendered":"DACMA hands over DAC system to KIT"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p><strong>Research and progress with the participation of some of our eFuels Forum friends!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"html-span xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs x3nfvp2 x1j61x8r x1fcty0u xdj266r xat24cr xgzva0m xhhsvwb xxymvpz xlup9mm x1kky2od\">On February 28, 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/dacma.com\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DACMA GmbH<\/a> handed over a Direct Air Capture (DAC) plant to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kit.edu\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"html-span xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"><span class=\"xt0psk2\"><span class=\"xjp7ctv\">Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> ) after successfully completing the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).<br \/>\n<\/span>This plant with a capture capacity of 60 tons of CO2 per year represents an important step in the development of advanced CO2 capture technologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"html-span xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs x3nfvp2 x1j61x8r x1fcty0u xdj266r xat24cr xgzva0m xhhsvwb xxymvpz xlup9mm x1kky2od\">Next step: Use in tests in port and at sea!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong>The DAC system will be installed on a floating test platform &#8211; a barge in Bremerhaven &#8211; from mid-March as part of the H2Mare hydrogen lead project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, or more precisely within the PtX-Wind sub-project. The platform will be equipped with a multi-stage power-to-liquid process, which will be tested in various test series both in the harbor and at sea off Helgoland. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<strong><span class=\"html-span xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs x3nfvp2 x1j61x8r x1fcty0u xdj266r xat24cr xgzva0m xhhsvwb xxymvpz xlup9mm x1kky2od\">Good to know:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong>A technical highlight of the system is the integrated unit for pre-filtering the supply air, which was specially developed for the difficult conditions of sea air.
