From the point of view of the petroleum industry, we can achieve this with a drive mix in which electricity-based synthetic fuels play a decisive role: so-called e-fuels.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But what are eFuels actually? And how can they help us achieve climate protection goals? the goal of the series of events organized by the e-Fuels Forum since summer 2021. On 25.08.2022 the tour team visited the <strong>BM\u00d6 service station at Weserpark in Bremen<\/strong>. One highlight: the foiled BMW Mini, which the guests were allowed to refuel at the end of the event with eFuels from the technology partner Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz (CAC).<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is talking about electromobility, but it is not the only option for climate-friendly mobility. climate-friendly mobility. At an information event organized by the e-Fuels Forum at the CLASSIC service station in Apensen, interested parties learned all about synthetic fuels. Guests included Helmut Dammann-Tamke, Member of the State Parliament (CDU), Petra Tiemann, Member of the State Parliament (SPD) and Matthias Mittlmejer, candidate for the State Parliament (SPD).<\/p>\n<p>After welcoming the attendees, Dirk Greife, Managing Director of the L\u00fchmann Group and initiator of the e-Fuels Forum, provided information on the importance, production and advantages of e-fuels. To produce these, water is first split into oxygen (O) and hydrogen (H) by electrolysis. In a second step, the hydrogen is combined with carbon dioxide (CO2). For e-fuels to be neutral in terms of new CO2 emissions, the electricity used to produce them must come from renewable sources such as wind and solar energy. The CO2, in turn, can be extracted from the air. So while burning fossil fuels such as diesel and gasoline releases new CO2 into the atmosphere, with e-fuels it is only the CO2 that was previously removed from the air.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sustainable mobility is possible with e-fuels, worldwide and in some cases much faster and cheaper than with other alternatives, as the existing infrastructure such as tankers, fuel depots and filling stations can continue to be used,&#8221; Greife emphasized in his presentation. &#8220;We must take advantage of all technologies that lead to the improvement of our carbon footprint, be it in the field of mobility or heat. organized by the eFuels Forum since summer 2021. On March 10, 2022, the tour team visited the CLASSIC service station Stemwede. One highlight: the foiled BMW Mini, which the guests were allowed to refuel at the end of the event with eFuels from the technology partner Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz (CAC).<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is talking about electromobility, but it is not the only option for climate-friendly mobility. At an information event organized by the eFuels Forum at the CLASSIC service station in Stemwede, interested parties learned all about synthetic fuels. One of the guests was Kai Abruszat, Mayor of Stemwede (FDP).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">After welcoming the attendees, Dirk Greife, Managing Director of the L\u00fchmann Group and initiator of the eFuels Forum, provided information on the importance, production and advantages of eFuels. To produce these, water is first split into oxygen (O) and hydrogen (H) by electrolysis. In a second step, the hydrogen is combined with carbon dioxide (CO2). For eFuels to be neutral in terms of new CO2 emissions, the electricity used to produce them must come from renewable sources such as wind and solar energy. The CO2, in turn, can be extracted from the air. So while burning fossil fuels such as diesel and gasoline releases new CO2 into the atmosphere, with eFuels it is only the CO2 that was previously removed from the The BMW was fueled with synthetic fuel from the technology partner CAC GmbH from Chemnitz.<\/p>\n<p>The venue was the company Ludger Br\u00e4mswig GmbH in Lohne (Lower Saxony). The company is now managed by the third generation. Ludger Br\u00e4mswig, welcomed the guests by saying, &#8220;eFuels are an important topic for us. I think it&#8217;s great that my son Michael Br\u00e4mswig is committed to this cause; it&#8217;s the future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The mayoral candidate Stephan Bl\u00f6mer ( no party affiliation) organized this meeting together with Michael Br\u00e4mswig. Also present was the climate policy spokesman of the FDP, Mr. Olaf in der Beek. The speaker at the eFuels Forum, Dr. Lorenz Kiene (L\u00fchmann Group, Hoya), made it clear: &#8220;In order to meet the global challenge of climate change, we must look to the future with an open mind.
